Jefferson is the place to turn for care, in every sense of the word. We provide a wide array of patient care services that fit the needs of not only the community at large, but each individual who walks through our doors.

In addition to an ever-growing list of LGBTQ+-friendly healthcare providers at our locations throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey, our specialties and various treatments continue to broaden as well.

The Care You Deserve

Our services include, but are not limited to, the following specialties and services:

Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatry: LGBTQ+ youth and adults can see Jefferson psychotherapists and psychiatrists for a variety of services, including psychiatric evaluations and medication management.

Center for Healthy Aging: Healthcare for LGBTQ+ patients 55 years and older, as well as support for caregivers. 

Medical Oncology: Treatments and care for breast and GI malignancies.

Obstetrics & Gynecology: A wide range of OB-GYN services are provided to LGBTQ+ patients, such as routine care, pregnancy care (including CenteringPregnancy), midwifery, hysterectomy,  reproductive endocrinology, infertility, maternal/fetal medicine and benign vulvovaginal disease specialty care (vaginitis, vulvodynia, dyspareunia, vulvar dermatoses).

Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery: Facial esthetics, including genial augmentation, enioplasty, genial reduction, orthognathic surgery, malar implants and other dental implants.

Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery: Treatment and care for head and neck cancer, including HPV associated oropharyngeal cancer and thyroid cancer.

Pediatric & Adolescent Gynecology: For LGBTQ+ children and teens, Jefferson offers routine OB-GYN care, as well as menstrual suppression and post-operative care (vaginal dilation). Hormone therapy can be offered, but it is recommended that patients work with a multidisciplinary team at the Gender Wellness Program at Nemours.

Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation: Comprehensive rehabilitation and medical care of LBGTQ+ individuals with spinal cord and/or brain injury. Osteopathic manipulation and Musculoskeletal Radiology (MSK) is also offered to patients.

Primary Care: Overall health services including pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) evaluation for those with increased risk of HIV.

Psychology: Therapy provided by Jefferson counselors, therapists and psychologists can help with various mental health-related issues, including family building.

Radiation Oncology: Screenings, evaluation and treatment for lymphoma, brain, breast, anal, cervical, skin and other cancer radiation therapy. 

Rehabilitation: Specializes in pelvic physical therapy.

Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility: Helping LGBTQ+ families with family planning and building with fertility/fertility preservation.

Ryan White Program: The federally sponsored program allows people – with or without health insurance – access to ongoing HIV treatment and access to other valuable social services.  

Urogynecology & Female Pelvic Medicine: Treatments for LGBTQ+ patients (including integrative medicine) with urinary concerns, pelvic floor problems, pelvic pain and vaginal pain.

Urology: LGBTQ+ patients can be treated for genital reconstruction, prosthetics, orchiectomy, penile implants, testicular implants and urethral stricture/fistula repair and other complications from vaginoplasty/phalloplasty/metoidioplasty.
